    • The discharge of every emitter in field pipe network under subsurface drip irrigation (SDI) is not easy to be measured. A new experimentation was introduced, which is a weighing method to solve this problem. The test system consists of weighing sensors, pressure sensors, data acquisition system, and a personal computer. The system not only can synchronously and indirectly measure the discharge of emitters and directly measure pressure of branch pipes and laterals of SDI pipe network in the laboratory, but also can realize the function of automatically monitoring, collect and store test data The measuring results show that accuracy of the test system can meet the experiment requirements, and it is easy to operate. Therefore, it is an effective path to study hydraulic characteristics of field pipe network under SDI in the laboratory.
