    Research advances in effect of cowhouse environment on lameness of dairy cattle

    • Lameness is one of three main diseases which harms to the production of dairy cattle. Based on a great deal of domestic and abroad studies, the effects of heredity and management, special environment on lameness of dairy cattle were discussed. The studies showed that the outbreak of lameness had relation with floor building materials and stall sizes of dairy cattle house. The objective of the study is to call for concerns of scientific design of cattle barn in order to create favorably environmental conditions for dairy cattle, and to promote health development of dairy husbandry in China.
