Abstract
In order to optimize technological parameters of arecoline extraction from areca nut using supercritical carbon dioxide extraction technique, the effects of extraction temperature, extraction pressure and extraction time on arecoline extraction were explored by second-order regression general rotation design. The results indicate that extraction temperature has a significant effect on the extraction quantity of arecoline, but extraction pressure or extraction time has a little effect. The optimum extraction parameters are as follows: extraction temperature 72℃, extraction pressure 57 MPa and extraction time 26 min. The maximum extraction quantity of coline is 6143.71 μg/g under this condition and amounts to 95.3% of the maximum theoretical extraction quantity. The percent of arecoline in the supercritical carbon dioxide extract is (25.85±0.41)%
