Abstract
In order to determine extraction process of flavones from Fortunella margarita peel and authenticate the activity of the flavones, the extraction efficiency of different solvents for flavones in Fortunella margarita peel was compared and the influences of various parameters such as solvent concentration, temperature, time or the ratio of Fortunella margarita to solvent on extraction efficiency by use of orthogonal experiment were studied taking yield of flavones as study index. At the same time, taking reducing ability, clearance ability forO-2? and ?OH as study index, its antioxidation in vitro was studied. The optimized parameters were as follows: methanol was used as extraction solvent, methanol concentration was 60%, the ratio of Fortunella margarita to methanol was 1︰40, the temperature was 40℃, and the extraction time was 2 h. The raw flavones had better reducing ability that was better than antioxidant such as 2,6- ditert-butyl-4-methyl phenol (BHT) or propyl gallate (PG) under the same concentration. At the same time, it had strong clearance ability forO-2? and ?OH, but the effect onO-2? was better than that of ?OH.
