Model of interval multi-objective programming of land-use and its application

Abstract
Adjustment of land-use structure is essential to land-use planning, which is of great importance to promote intensive, efficient and sustainable utilization of land resources. Considering the characteristics of the land resources in Shuangliu County, and the uncertainty and the complexity of the adjustment of land-use structure, interval multi-objective linear programming model is applied in the paper. Firstly, the interval single-objective programming model is used to determine the values of expecting level and tolerance bounds of each objective function, and then an auxiliary model is built to balance the planning values of each objective function. By calculation, some useful results are obtained, such as the optimized area of land after adjustment, land-use benefit, ecologically environmental benefit and reasonable water demand, which will provide some useful advice for decision-makers. Case study shows the validity of interval multi-objective programming model.
