Abstract
The cucumber seedling grew under supplied red and blue light quality after trans-planted in the solar greenhouse. The effects of supplied red and blue light quality on the photosynthesis rate and carbohydrate translocation of cucumber(Cucumis sativus L.) growing in solar greenhouse were studied. The results were as follows: Red light stimulated the increase of photosynthesis rate in cucumber leaves, and favored the accumulation of the carbohydrates in cucumber plant, carbohydrate translocation from leaves to other organs also increased compared with that of blue light quality. The chloroplast number and grana thickness of the grana were all enhanced under red light. Compared with the blue light, red light improved the photosynthesis characteristics and increased the translocation of 14C-assimilates from leaves to upper organs of cucumber under solar greenhouse.
