    Application of electromagnetic force on automatic vegetable grafting machine

    • In order to further enhance grafting speed, and to simplify mechanism, electromagnetic power was applied for a cut grafting machine. The performance experiments of electromagnets, dampers and the cut grafting machine were carried out. The results indicate that as the case of using a damper, the cut grafting machine with electromagnetic force can work properly. Comparing with mechanical cam-pole,the grafting speed of electromagnetic force grafting machine increased by 43% with 90% grafting success ratios. However, after one hour of operating the electromagnetic force of the electromagnets used for the cut grafting machine reduced by about 20%, which should be considered in the future study.
