    Design and implementation of digital cotton farming system based on models and GIS

    • In order to develop and perfect the integrated simulation function of cotton models, improve their management system levels of mechanism, digital, reliability, and wide-application, a digital and web cotton farming system based on model and GIS(Geographic information system)was developed by full utilizing the technologies of software component and parameter method, decision support and system design, GIS spatial technique, with integrating the advantage of prediction of simulation model, spatial information management of GIS technologies, decision support of management knowledge model. By inputting the parameters of varieties, climate, soil and production conditions, the system can set service for farmers, agronomists and researchers on farming zoning, cultivation strategy design, growth simulation, scheme evaluation, dynamic regulation and production analysis in cotton management, which provide digitalization, precision, dynamics, network services in prediction, design, management and control of cotton production system.
