    Effect of NaOH +H2O2 pretreatment on corn straw anaerobic digestion

    • The corn straw was pretreated by NaOH and H2O2 in order to improve biodegradability of anaerobic digestion. The paper work was to study variations of corn straw composition and performance of anaerobic digestion after corn straw was pretreated by various concentration of NaOH and H2O2. The results indicated that 2%NaOH+3%H2O2 pretreatment was most effective, with total biogas production of 9.89% which was higher than that without pretreatment. Digestion time shortened by 14 d,and degradation rate of TS and VS increased 15.23% and 17.85%, respectively. It was an effective way to improving anaerobic digestion by NaOH and H2O2 combined pretreatment
