Abstract
In order to solve the problem of narrow spraying machinery operating range and low efficiency in planting orchard. A ring-type dual channel fan was designed to adapt the compact planting orchards. Based on agronomic characteristics, the fan's structure and the key components were determined using the fluid dynamics and application techniques. The type of fan's structure was R+S with 9 blades and 11 guide blades. The radius of road corner was 155 mm and deflector corner was 87.55 mm. The power, air volume, wind speed, air pressure and wind distribution were measured in different conditions and the performance curve was drawn. The results showed that the fan's performance met the design requirements with efficiency value of 75% or more and the optimal operating width of 5 m at the speed of fan's 1400r/min.
